The Praise Singers - Joey

This is Joey. He is the most recent in my series of musicians/singers.

I have been trying to get a good photo of Joey forever. I must have snapped a hundred photos of him, and all of them had the same expression. He would smile, I would take the picture, and by the time the camera actually recorded the photo, he had moved on in his song, and I got a grimace. Time after time, the same expression!

Finally, I asked him if I could come and photograph him during practice, so we arranged a time. As I took more photos, I continued to get the same old grimace.

At last, at the end of his song, he turned toward me and smiled and I snapped the picture. I knew even before I looked at it that this was the photo I needed in order to do the painting. (Whew!)
